Creating relaxed, elegant interiors is my passion
Jannet Butzinger, an American Interior Architect residing close to Heidelberg, Germany, brings a wealth of experience from the United States, Latin America, and the European Union. Renowned for her ability to seamlessly blend contemporary and classical styles, Jannet crafts interiors that are nothing short of breathtaking. Her organic approach to design underscores the belief that a home should be a true reflection of its inhabitants, celebrating their personalities and cherished collections.
Drawing inspiration from her Texas roots and the serene simplicity of the California coast, Jannet infuses her designs with a blend of gracious southern charm and relaxed elegance, creating bespoke, handcrafted spaces that perfectly align with her clients' tastes and desires. Her projects range from luxury private homes and large apartments to high-styled farm estates, castles, and island vacation homes. Her aesthetic is sophisticated and deeply rooted in tradition, yet refreshingly modern and never antiquated.
Jannet's passion for design was ignited early on, during her time working for a builder in Texas. As she swept homes before flooring installation, she would dream of the endless possibilities each room held. This passion was further nurtured during her years on the southern coast of California, where she fell in love with the natural, organic beauty of the landscape. Her teenage years in Germany and Austria instilled in her a deep appreciation for European chic and sparked her lifelong love of travel.
With a B.S. in Interior Design from the University of Texas, Jannet successfully ran her design business in San Diego for over a decade before relocating to Germany in 1994. Jannet is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and the California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC) in the USA, and is a member of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID). In Germany, she is certified as a “Freie-Innenarchitektin” by the Architektenkammer Baden-Württemberg (AKBW) and is a member of the Bund der Deutscher Innenarchitekten e.V. (bdia).
The interior architect now resides in “Gutshof Schloss Langenzell,” just 19 km from Heidelberg, sharing her home with her husband, dogs, and horses. Here, she merges her love for horses with her design practice. As the European consultant for the US-based company Equine Residences, she seamlessly blends her professional and personal passions. In Langenzell, she enjoys the perfect harmony of work and life, surrounded by the beauty of her horses and the inspiring landscapes of her home.
